PetroConsult Pty Ltd is seeking expressions of interest in a study of the deepwater areas of the Gippsland Basin released in the May 2000 release of petroleum exploration areas in Australia.
Bids for these areas close 3 May 2001. Water depths range from 200 - 3000m. New regional seismic and aeromagnetic data reveal basin architecture and potential trap styles. There is a similar structural setting and geology to shallow-water, producing fields to the west.
Seismic coverage is sparse, except in the north of permit
